One of the uses of recycled glass most in vogue at present is its expansion to turn it into a construction material with insulating behavior and very light. For this, the process begins with an ultrafine grinding in a ball mill. Then it is passed to some rotary expanders that decrease the density of the material by increasing its volume, which are the required properties of the final material.
